Incredible $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Online Gaming GM's Dream

After a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned for a limited time available through early December. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by a specialized software company throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at over $1,300. And there are multiple package options offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is definitely a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade cartography program which enables users to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

A regional fantasy map created using the CC3+ software platform.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle is so worth it, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The sole limitation is that while you can redeem the deal across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, but you can also select any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. Additionally available is an donation allocation menu just below that, allowing you to adjust how much of your donation goes to Humble, Profantasy, and Save the Children.
